Unity Bay Area Houston is blessed to have a wonderful minister!
Reverend Kyra Baehr was ordained in 1997. She ministered in Mesa, Arizona for three years before pioneering Unity of Divine Love Spiritual Center in Chandler, Arizona in 2000. While building Unity of Divine Love, she spent more than ten years on the board of Arizona InterFaith Movement, contributed to the recent daily devotional publication, “Interfaith Inspirations for a Globalized World,” presented workshops at two Parliament of World Religions in Barcelona, Spain and Melbourne, Australia, and presented the opening Worship Celebration Service for our Unity People’s Convention in 2008. Kyra co-hosted a radio program on World Puja Network called, Church with No Walls throughout 2009, created and led a Unity Women’s Ministry in Arizona for twelve years, and received the Outstanding Youth Service Award for ten years of service to the Youth Education Advisory Team for the Southwest Region of Unity Churches.
She is a Oneness Blessing Trainer and is dedicated to creating opportunities for everyone to experience God and ignite a passion for the realization of their own inner Divinity and interconnectedness with all.
She has spent the last two years here in Houston sharing her gifts through teaching, speaking, spiritual coaching, leading workshops, Women of Wisdom (WOW) Circles and Oneness activities. She spent a year on the newly formed Youth Education Advisory (YEA) Team for our South Central Unity Region and working with the Youth of Unity program at Unity of Houston as well as serving other ministries in the area.
Kyra is recognized as a passionate visionary leader known for ‘walking her talk’ and speaking with a contagious enthusiasm and a flow of Presence. From the words of her board president from Arizona, John Cordova, “I am forever indebted to the mystic that walked amongst us at Unity of Divine Love, and will always cherish and honor the time I spent with one of my greatest teachers, Rev. Kyra Baehr.”
Unity Church of the Bay Area welcomed Rev. Kyra as their new permanent minister in 2013.
